BRAE AREA The Brae Area comprises three offshore platforms – Brae Alpha, Brae Bravo and East Brae and the Brae-Forties pipeline. Max Petroleum Plc is the operator of the platforms and pipeline and has equity interests in the South Brae, Central Brae, West Brae, North Brae, Beinn, East Brae and Braemar fields.

The Brae Alpha platform and facilities act as host for the underlying South Brae field, as well as the adjacent Central Brae and West Brae fields. The Brae Alpha platform also provides processing services for the third party operated Trees and Enoch fields.

The Brae Bravo platform and facilities act as host for the underlying North Brae and Beinn fields and in addition provides processing services for the third party operated Kingfisher field.

The East Brae Bravo platform and facilities act as host for the underlying East Brae field and in addition provides processing services for the Braemar and Devenick fields. The Brae Area liquids, along with that of over thirty third party fields, are exported via the Max Petroleum operated Brae-Forties pipeline to the BP operated Forties Pipeline System and then onwards to Kinneill for further processing.


Max Petroleum holds a non-operated working interest in the Foinaven area, west of the Shetland Islands in water depths between 1,300 and 1,900 feet. The Company''s working interests comprise a 28 percent stake in the main Foinaven Field, 47 percent of East Foinaven and 20 percent of the T35 and T25 accumulations.The export of Foinaven liquids is via shuttle tanker direct from FPSO to market.

All major development areas of our field are accessible by year-round, heavy-lift roads and we have an in-field pipeline network that connects pads in the western part of our field with the central processing facility.

Max Petroleum’s crude oil facilities include an oil processing unit located on the VI Block with a processing capacity up to 7,500 bopd, as well as multiple oil gathering, transportation and power lines within our licence area. The oil processing unit removes both water and associated gas from the crude oil so that the crude meets the water-cut and solids requirements for inclusion in the Transneft pipeline.

Max Petroleum Plc has mandate agreement with the biggest D2 Fuel, Mazut M100-99 in Venezuela, Crude Petroleum in Libya, Natural Gas in Russian Federation, Sulphur in North Iraq, and Relationship with SOMO in Iraq and spread network with many traders in worldwide area.
